Membership Terms & Lounge Policies
A private, members-only lounge operating under Virginia law. By application only.
Membership & Eligibility
Cloud District is a private, members-only lounge. Membership is granted by application only and is subject to review and approval by Cloud District management at their sole discretion.
- All members must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Valid, government-issued photo identification is required for entry at all times.
- Membership is personal and non-transferable. Members may not grant lounge access to non-members.
- Cloud District reserves the right to deny or revoke membership for any reason, at any time, without obligation to disclose its reasoning.
- U.S. Military Veterans receive complimentary membership with no fees or conditions. Contact hello@theclouddistrict.co with your name and branch of service to begin.
Conduct & Community Standards
The culture of Cloud District depends on the standard of every member. We hold ourselves to something higher — and so must everyone who enters.
- Members shall treat all individuals — fellow members, guests, and staff — with dignity and respect at all times.
- Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or threatening behavior of any kind will not be tolerated and constitutes grounds for immediate and permanent removal.
- Members are responsible for the conduct of any guests they introduce to the lounge environment. Guest privileges may be revoked at management's discretion.
- Cloud District reserves the right to remove any individual whose presence or behavior disrupts the experience of other members or compromises the integrity of the environment.
Virginia Law & Cannabis Compliance
Cloud District operates within the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. All members are individually responsible for understanding and complying with applicable state law at all times while on or near lounge premises.
- Unlawful possession, distribution, or sale of cannabis or any controlled substance is strictly prohibited on or near Cloud District premises. Any such activity is grounds for immediate and permanent membership revocation.
- Cloud District does not sell, distribute, advertise, or facilitate the acquisition of cannabis or cannabis-derived products in any form. The lounge does not operate as a dispensary or retail cannabis establishment.
- Members are solely responsible for their own compliance with Virginia law, including lawful transportation to and from the lounge. Cloud District accepts no liability for a member's individual legal standing.
- Cloud District does not permit or condone any violation of Virginia law on its premises. Any activity that places the lounge or its members in legal jeopardy will be addressed immediately and without exception.
Assumption of Risk
Cloud District is a private lounge environment where cannabis may be present. By maintaining an active membership and entering the lounge, members voluntarily acknowledge and accept the following.
- Members understand that cannabis and cannabis smoke may be present within lounge spaces, including the possibility of exposure to secondhand smoke or vapor.
- Participation in any lounge activity or session is entirely voluntary. Members assume full personal responsibility for any health effects or risks associated with their presence in the lounge environment.
- Members with health conditions that may be affected by cannabis or secondhand smoke are encouraged to consult a medical professional before participating.
Liability Acknowledgment
Members of Cloud District accept full personal responsibility for their conduct, decisions, and safety during their time at the lounge, before arrival, and upon departure.
- Cloud District is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought onto lounge premises. Members are advised to exercise appropriate care with their personal property.
- Members are solely responsible for arranging safe and lawful transportation to and from the lounge. Cloud District strongly encourages the use of a designated driver, rideshare service, or other safe means of transit.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cloud District, its ownership, and its staff are not liable for personal injury, accident, or loss arising from a member's voluntary participation in lounge activities.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Discretion is a cornerstone of the Cloud District community. What is shared within these walls — conversations, connections, and experiences — is to remain within them.
- Members shall not share, disclose, or distribute personal information, contact details, or identifying information about fellow members without their explicit consent.
- The identities, conversations, and activities of other members encountered at Cloud District are to be treated as strictly confidential.
- Recording of any kind — audio, video, or photographic — within the lounge requires the knowledge and consent of all individuals who may be captured. Violations of this policy will result in immediate removal and potential membership revocation.
- Cloud District handles member information with care and will not share personal data with third parties except where required by law.
Membership Enforcement
Cloud District reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently revoke the membership of any individual who violates these policies or whose conduct is deemed inconsistent with the values and standards of the community.
- Enforcement decisions are made at the sole discretion of Cloud District management. Members will be notified of significant enforcement actions where appropriate.
- Cloud District reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Members will be notified of material changes. Continued use of lounge access following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
- These policies exist not to restrict, but to protect — ensuring that every member has access to a space that is safe, respectful, and genuinely calm.
